Alan Welton - President and CEO

Alan is the founder and principal shareholder of Rocky Cross Construction (North) since it was formed in 2001. Before that he spend many years in the disaster restoration industry as an Estimator, Project Manager, Large Loss Manager and numerous other roles. One of Alan’s key strengths has been in identifying top talent with the skills necessary to serve our customer and bringing them into our business. His management philosophy has been to give his Team the training and tools they need to do their job and then let them do it.

Lory Perizzolo- Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Lory joined our company as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2019. Lory has over 20 years of insurance claims and restoration industry experience, starting out as a Telephone, then Field Adjuster and advancing to regional and national senior management roles with insurance companies. Lory joined DKI Canada in 2016 and made significant steps in advancing the Canadian network in better serving the insurance industry and their customers. Lory will lead the team of Project Managers, administration, operations and marketing personal and is responsible for overseeing key vendor and Insurer relationships.

Marja Welton - Business Development Manager

Marja (Mya) joined the Rocky Cross Construction (North) Team in 2012 after spending over 22 years in the insurance industry as an adjuster, Manager and then a Regional Manager. She has and continues to be a strong presence in the insurance industry in Calgary and surrounding areas. In her off time, she enjoys her family, travelling, golf and helping out the Heart and Stroke Foundation as a Canvasser and previously as an Area Manager.

Hugh Ruel - VP Finance

Hugh joined the RCC North DKI Team in 2007. He has earned his Canadian CGA and Alberta CGA designations. Hugh is our Vice-President of Finance. In this role he oversees our Administration and Accounting departments while ensuring our financial reports are prepared accurately and on time. Also, he works diligently to ensure all our software programs integrate properly to ensure we monitor and track the stringent KPI’s of the insurance industry.

Ryan L'Heureux - VP of Commercial & Complex Restorations

Ryan leads our Commercial & Complex Restorations department. In his 17 years in the construction industry, Ryan has become widely acknowledged for his professional integrity and ability to cultivate meaningful client and team relationships. Ryan is also valued within the industry for his adeptness at securing and managing a high volume of residential and commercial restoration projects as well as his exceptional ability to organize and initiate emergency services in unique situations. Ryan and RCC North DKI are excited to work together to identify and develop key talent, relationships, and procedures to better serve our clients in Calgary and area with their commercial and complex restoration needs.

Marketing

Ryan Thelwell - Director of Business Development

Ryan joined our Team in 2015 and has been a valuable part of it from day one. For the last decade Ryan has been developing his skills as a Business Development professional. Many know Ryan from his days as a player on the Calgary Stampeders Football Club. His work ethic and team building experiences has been a big part of our growth in serving multi-unit Commercial and Residential Facility and Property managers as the Manager of Commercial Services.

Project Managers

Randy Exner - Large Loss Project Manager

Randy is a IICRC Certified Project Manager who has been involved in Calgary’s Disaster Restoration Industry for 20 years, along with 15 years prior experience in textile restoration.

He is experienced in Large Loss claims and Catastrophes situations working with both Independent & Staff Adjusters.

Troy Goerlitz - Project Manager

Troy joined our Team in 2008 where he has supported the organization within the production department and now most recently as a Project Manager. With a strong construction knowledge Troy brings quick resolution to his property files.

Josh Bell - Project Manager

Josh joined our Team in 2013. He has performed numerous duties including: Carpenter assistant, Emergency Tech, Lead Tech, and is currently a Project Manager. Josh has done all types of damage restoration and has experience in overseeing large number of crews to support the emergency mitigation in residential, multi-units and commercial buildings. He continues to provide updates on new technology to increase productivity.

Tony Penner - Large Loss Project Manager

Tony has been in the Disaster Restoration industry in Calgary for over 25 years and has been part of the RCC North DKI Team for 16 years. Tony has been a long time Project Manager with us and primarily serves Independent Adjusters and Staff Adjusters with property claims of all types and sizes. He works hard to meet and exceed customer’s expectations during a property claim.

Allen Lamb - Project Manager

Allen has been with the RCC North DKI Team since 2012. Allen has supported the organization in a few roles from, Technician, First Responder to his current role as Project Manager. He services residential and commercial clients with any type of insurance property claims loss. Allen has completed all IICRC credentials with a Master’s distinction in Water, Fire&Smoke, Textile Cleaner, Applied Microbial Remediation Specialist & Applied Structural Drying.

Dan Fitzpatrick - Project Manager

Dan virtually grew up in the Disaster Restoration industry. He has years more experience than many others older than him. He joined the RCC North DKI team in September 2016 and has been a valuable part of it ever since. He has many certifications from the IICRC. Dan has supervised and project managed countless residential & commercial losses along with some multi-million dollar projects.

Dwayne Harpell - Project Manager

Dwayne is one of the original staff to join RCC North DKI. He has spent his career in the water damage and disaster restoration industry serving customers with just about any type of insurance claim loss. Dwayne has numerous training certifications with the IICRC and recently successfully completed the Canadian Healthcare Construction Course with C.H.E.S. (Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society) to ensure we are up to date with serving the Healthcare Industry with insurance claims and environmental remediation work.

Jenn Kirk - Project Manager

Jenn started her Restoration Industry career in 2009 where she spent the first couple of years as a Project Manager Assistant and PM Training Coordinator. She gained valuable experience by moving into her next role as Project Estimator for the next several years. She has completed several industry training courses certified by the IICRC and others. Jenn has been a Project Manager for the past 4 years.

First Responders

Colin McMullen - First Responder

Colin has been in the restoration industry for over 10 years. He started out as a technician and rose to be an Emergency Supervisor. In 2018 Colin became our First Responder. He has overseen many large commercial and residential Fire and Water losses. Colin has achieved many IICRC credentials with a Master’s distinction in Water, Fire & Smoke, Textile Cleaner, & Applied Structural Drying.

Jason Porter - Operations Manager

Jason joined RCC North DKI team in 2007 as a coordinator within the production department. He was promoted to Manager in 2013.

Rick Vaisman - Health & Safety Officer

Rick is our resident Health & Safety Expert. His skills include Risk assessments, critical task application, ensuring our COR requirements are met, streamlining site safety processes and ensuring compliance with workplace safety for our employees, and customers that allows us to deliver excellent service, safely.

Shawn McNeil - Emergency Services Manager

Shawn joined our Team in 2011. Shawn is a career Disaster Restoration professional with an impressive list of IICRC Disaster Restoration training including: Master Water Restorer, Master Fire and Smoke Restorer, Journeyman Textile Cleaner, Applied Structural Drying (ASD), Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT), along with many other safety and industry related courses. He supports our Project Managers, PMA’s and Emergency staff along with our clients/insureds.

Administration

Christine Card - Large Loss Account Coordinator & PMA Team Lead

Christine joined our Team in 2018. Her restoration and property management industry experience and skillsets helps us in assisting homeowners and/or commercial clients throughout their loss process. Christine is responsible for ensuring overall consistency with our file management processes from opening to close. This helps us in providing reliable customer service with the best possible experience during their emergency and/or rebuild phases of our restoration and remediation projects.

Micheline Andersen - Human Resources Manager

Micheline joined our team in 2013 and has over 20 years of experience in Talent Management, HR and Payroll. Micheline provides guidance and support to our senior managers and employees. She assists us with our employee benefits, payroll, talent acquisition and employee relations. She is passionate about helping our business make the most of our resources while helping each Team member capitalize on their activity.

Krystal Molnar - Estimator & Quality Assurance Officer

Krystal joined our team in 2015 and started in the Restoration Industry in 2009. She started in various administrative roles including compliance, estimating, project management assisting, and project management over the years. Krystal holds her Level 3 Xactimate mastery certification and is instrumental in ensuring accurate adherence to client estimating and compliance requirements. Krystal is also responsible for overseeing our client performance goals and requirements, file integrity and quality.
